Rinki Murphy is an endocrinologist working at Auckland Diabetes Centre and is clinical head of the Te Mana Ki Tua Specialist Weight Management Service at Counties Manukau Health.  She is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Auckland and a Principal Investigator at Maurice Wilkins Centre for biodiscovery.  She chairs the national monogenic diabetes clinical guidance group, is a member of the PHARMAC diabetes subcommittee,  ClinGen monogenic diabetes variant curation expert panel, and a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Precision Medicine in Diabetes Initiative (PMDI) working group.
